Triennium 2019

2019 Presbyterian Youth Triennium

Event Overview & Applications

July 16 through July 20, 2019 at Purdue University, Indiana:

The delegation from Donegal Presbytery will travel together to Triennium at Perdue University, which will begin on July 16 and conclude on Saturday, July 20 (Please note: If we travel to Triennium by bus, this will extend our travel by one more day each way). In between, all the participants will experience small group meetings, recreation, a spirituality center, worship, singing, personal interaction with youth and adults from all over the world, and learning about Reformed identity, ministries, and vocational opportunities. Triennium is geared toward high school youth with a special emphasis on spiritual formation and Christian discipleship.

Theme: “Here’s My Heart”. The theme of the 2019 Presbyterian Youth Triennium gets right to the heart of the matter. Drawing from the words of the hymn, Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing, “Here’s My Heart” expresses our deepest desire to be part of something bigger and more beautiful than the tiny flicker of our own candles. It speaks of passion and identity. It speaks of purpose and action. We invite young people and their adult leaders to come experience God’s love in a way so powerful and compelling that they, too, are moved to say, “Here’s my heart”. And together we will learn what it means to serve Christ with our intelligence, energy, imagination and love.

Who: Youth and adults from the PC(USA) and Cumberland Presbyterian churches will attend. They will come from every part of the U.S. and several parts of the world. There will be high school student participants and leaders, adult advisors and leaders, as well as college students who will participate in the Work Crew to support the event.

Cost: Cost of the conference for each youth and adult participant is $555.00 plus the cost of transportation to Triennium which will be based on the number of those who register. The $555.00 includes on campus room at Perdue University, meals, t-shirt, and all program fees. Additional expenses to each participant will be for “on the road” meals, souvenirs of their choosing, money for an offering, and snacks during the week. Local churches are encouraged to sponsor a youth participant.
