The Central Presbyterian Church of Downingtown, PA in Donegal Presbytery, is looking for a Interim pastor for a fulltime position. The position is available on April 19, 2021, or as soon thereafter as possible.
These are the following general job responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be an ordained Presbyterian (PCUSA) Teaching Elder, or from a Formula of Agreement congregation. Formal training in Transitional or Interim Ministry is required. The preference is for someone with at least three years' experience as a pastor or as an associate pastor.
This position likely will be for a period of twelve – twenty-four months. The Interim Pastor will not be eligible to apply for the installed pastor position.
Compensation will be negotiated commensurate with experience, with a housing allowance available. Benefits are negotiable depending upon the situation and mileage reimbursement is included at the standard IRS rate. The contract will be negotiated with the Session, in consultation with the Donegal Presbytery's Connecting our Ministries Commission.
